A massive fire broke out at the Pachpadra refinery-cum-petrochemical complex in Rajasthan, just a day before its scheduled inauguration by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The incident triggered panic in the area as thick plumes of smoke rose from the site. Firefighting teams were rushed to the location and worked to bring the blaze under control.
Officials have not yet confirmed the exact cause of the fire, and investigations are currently underway. Initial reports suggest that safety protocols were immediately activated to prevent the fire from spreading to other critical sections of the refinery.
The refinery project is considered one of the most significant energy infrastructure developments in India, making the timing of the incident particularly concerning. Authorities are assessing damage and ensuring the safety of workers at the site.
